James Klassen serves as Chief Technology Officer and pre-formation technology consultant for National Alchemy Technologies, Inc., leading the engineering, prototyping, and scaling of the company’s differential buoyancy IP, for high-efficiency shooting range bullet metals remediation.

A prolific inventor with 150+ patents, James co-founded Genesis Robotics where he developed breakthrough technologies including the LDD Genesis robot arm. His earlier innovations transformed extreme sports as he invented the Virtual Pivot Point (VPP) suspension system that revolutionized mountain biking (still used by leading brands today) and created the first snowboard with a flat base and no fins — an industry first that helped James win the 1986 US Open.

James is a very successful published author with his groundbreaking book “A Snowboarder’s guide to the afterlife” and his next book is already in production. In his spare time, James takes care of his cattle on his ranch, invents new fun things and exercises like he’s half his true age.
